Best Performing Websites relating to West Cork Islands
As part of a web survey conducted recently, Séamus Ó Drisceoil of Cailin Óir conducted a mini- survey of websites relating to the West Cork Islands. The methodology was to take 10 relevant search terms and to list the first 10 sites which appeared under Google Ireland. They were then ranked 1-10 and marks were awarded accordingly.

The West Cork Islands site is the official site sponsored by the West Cork Islands Tourism Group and great credit is deserved for coming tops in this survey. In a similar survey conducted under the search term ‘West Cork’ the Discover Ireland site was by the far the best ranked. SherkinIsland.eu also put in an impressive showing with an impressive page rank of 5. Baltimore.ie, Casey’s and West Cork Hotel also featured strongly in the West Cork survey. Under ferries the cailinoir.com site featured strongly but not under the other search terms related to West Cork Islands. Congratulations to all those who made it to the final list.
